LAKE COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT RULES
Chapter 2. Sessions of the Court
2.1 Trial Sessions
The daily trial sessions of the court commence at 9:00 A.M. and continue until 4:30 P.M., with a recess from 12:00 noon until 1:30 P.M., unless otherwise ordered by the court. (eff. 6/30/91)
2.2 Law and Motion Sessions
Law and motion matters are heard at 9:00 A.M. on each Monday which is not a court holiday. (eff. 6/30/91)
2.3 Probate Sessions
Probate matters are heard at 11:00 A.M. on each Monday which is is not a court holiday. (eff. 6/30/91)
2.4 Criminal Sessions for Non-Trial Proceedings
Non-trial proceedings in criminal cases involving such matters as arraignments, motions, sentencing and habeas corpus are conducted at 8:15 A.M. on each Monday which is not a court holiday. (eff 7/1/97)
2.5 Juvenile Court Sessions
Sessions for the Juvenile Court are conducted at 11:00 A.M. for delinquency matters and at 2:00 P.M. for dependcy matters on each Monday which is not a court holiday. (eff. 7/1/97)
2.6 Pre-Trial and Settlement Conference Sessions
Pre-trial conferences and settlement conferences are conducted in chambers at 1:30 P.M. on each Monday which is not a court holiday. (eff. 6/30/91)
2.7 Case Management Conferences
Case management conferences are conducted at 1:30 P.M. on each Monday which is not a court holiday. (eff. 6/30/91)
2.8 Adoption Session
Adoption sessions are heard in chambers at 1:30 P.M. on each Monday which is not a court holiday. (eff. 6/30/91)
2.9 Appellate Department Sessions
Sessions of the appellate department are conducted at 1:30 P.M. on the third Friday of each month. (eff. 6/30/91)
2.10 Changes in Sessions
Notwithstanding the foregoing rules, changes in sessions of the court may be made by order entered upon the minutes of the court. (eff. 6/30/91)
2.11 Court Holidays
Any matter noticed for a day which is a court holiday will be heard on the next following day which is not a court holiday. (eff. 6/30/91
